Services of HealthReach Community Clinic include General Medical care, an on-site Lab, referrals to Specialists for situations not treatable in our facility, a Chronic Care Clinic, Chiropractic Clinic, and a Pharmacy.
General Medical Services
HealthReach Community Clinic offers diagnostic medical services much like a primary care physician by using the services of dedicated volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical specialists. This service includes non-emergency acute medical care, care of chronic diseases, regular x-rays, and limited specialty care.
Diagnostic services are supplemented by the use of an in-house lab where blood and urine specimens are collected. Specimens are analyzed using a local lab and results are returned to your HealthReach Provider for interpretation and diagnosis.
HealthReach sees many people who need care that we cannot provide directly. Many of our clients need the help of a specialist or a surgeon to address their issues. We maintain an extensive network of specialists who have agreed to see our patients pro bono or at a reduced rate.
The list of Specialists HealthReach works with constantly changes but may include Optometrist/Optometry, Gastrointestinal, OBGYN, Orthopedic, Ear/Nose/Throat, Coronary, or Oncology.
We provide basic chiropractic care including adjustments every Thursday night as part of our regular medical clinic (5:30 until 7:30). Appointments must be made but patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Our pharmacy fills prescriptions written by our doctors for patients seen at our clinic, and for verified prescriptions written at any other free clinic. Most prescriptions are free. There is a charge for Diabetic Test Strips and supplies. We do not carry narcotics or any other controlled substances in our pharmacy.
If the patient requires a drug that we do not carry, or needs a continual supply of a drug for an extended period of time, we work with them to help get them enrolled in a Patient Assistance Program. Many pharmaceutical companies have PAPs which allow people to get their prescription drugs at no cost, but the process is often very paperwork intensive. We assist our patient through the process, helping them in both the application and ongoing processes.
If a patient needs a consultation with a pharmacist the pharmacist is available from 9:00AM – 3:00PM on Tuesdays and 4:00PM – 8:00PM on Thursdays. If a patient DOES NOT need a consultation with a pharmacist they may drop off or pickup prescriptions any time.
